Become an AI provider and earn money!
Your GPU is idle most of the week. Install the CLI, pick a minimum price and the hours you are available, and let other teams use the spare capacity. You keep 90% of every sale.
Earnings depend on demand for your models and your prices. Tokmine does not guarantee any income. Real prices are on the marketplace page.
Three steps
Install the CLI
One command on macOS, Linux or Windows. Run tokmine and it discovers your local model servers such as Ollama, LM Studio, vLLM or llama.cpp. Create an account and log in so your machines belong to a workspace.
Set a price and a weekly schedule
In the app, choose a minimum price per 1M tokens for input and output (a default and per-model overrides), the days and hours you want to sell in your timezone, which machines to share, and how many marketplace requests each may run at once.
Get paid
Usage is metered as requests complete. Once a month you receive a statement and your payout, 90% of what buyers paid at your asking prices. Selling requires a valid card on file.
Your price, your hours, your machines first
You set the minimum price
Prices are per 1M tokens, separate for input and output, per model. A buyer is only matched with you if your asking price is at or below their maximum.
You set the weekly hours
Pick days and hours in your timezone, from nights and weekends to around the clock. Outside your schedule nothing is routed to you.
Your own work comes first
Marketplace requests only use spare capacity, up to the concurrent-request cap you set per machine. You choose which machines are shared at all.
Stop any time
Turn selling off in the app and no new marketplace requests are sent. You can see what you earned per day and per model.
Tokmine keeps 10% of sales
The buyer pays your asking price. Tokmine keeps 10% of it and you receive the other 90%. Machine and seat charges on your plan are separate from marketplace sales.
Example only, not a quote or a forecast: a sale of $10.00 would pay the provider $9.00 and Tokmine $1.00. Payouts and invoicing are monthly, and selling needs a valid card on file. Tax and income-reporting rules for providers are being finalised.
Example sale
- Buyer pays
- $10.00
- Tokmine fee (10%)
- $1.00
- You receive
- $9.00
Privacy-first, checked by the CLI
Buyers can ask for privacy-first machines. The CLI checks your runtimes locally, and what it finds decides whether you are offered.
What the CLI checks
For each runtime it looks for settings that keep prompts or responses, such as request logging flags, debug logs and saved chat history, and reports a tier: private, unverified or logging.
Read what is checkedMachines that log are not offered
If prompt logging is detected your machine is not offered on the marketplace. If a runtime cannot be checked, for example a remote host, it is offered only when you explicitly allow unverified machines.
Self-attested, not guaranteed
The checks run on your own machine and report what they find. They are not remote attestation and cannot prove what software does. We describe machines as privacy-first, checked by the CLI, never as guaranteed.
Tokmine does not store prompts
Request and response bodies are not stored by Tokmine and the CLI never writes them to disk or logs. Buyers know their requests run on third-party machines, and you agree not to keep or misuse them.
Questions
How much can I earn?
We cannot say. It depends on demand for the models you serve, your prices and the hours you offer. The marketplace page shows live price ranges, but a listed price is not a promise that anyone will buy. What does Tokmine take?
10% of each sale. The buyer pays your asking price and you receive 90% of it.Who pays me and when?
Charges and payouts are settled monthly through invoicing. You get a monthly statement. Selling and buying both need a valid card on file.Who are my buyers?
Other workspaces, and you never see who. They also never see who you are. Your workspace is never matched with itself. Can I limit when I sell?
Yes. You set days and hours per week in your timezone. Outside them you receive no marketplace requests.Does selling slow down my own use?
Your own requests have priority, and you cap how many marketplace requests each machine handles at once. Heavy models can still use memory and GPU, so start with a low cap. What about my data and privacy?
Tokmine does not store request or response bodies. You are processing other people's prompts, so keep your runtimes free of prompt logging, run the CLI privacy check and do not retain or use what you see. What models can I sell?
Any model your runtimes serve that you have the licence to run and share. Resale of models in breach of their licences is prohibited by the acceptable use policy. Are there taxes or forms?
Providers are responsible for their own taxes. Income reporting and VAT on the fee are being finalised and we will publish the details before payouts start.
